Food for nature

A banquet fit for a bee

To keep your food crops healthy and growing well, you'll need a balance of insects, with a good mix of pollinators, predators and prey. Start by offering the things they love to eat to create a garden that attracts them. Wildflowers bursting with pollen and sweet nectar will provide a banquet fit for a bee, a butterfly buffet and all-day beetle brunch in your garden.

The birds, frogs and hedgehogs won’t go hungry either when there are beetles, worms, snails and slugs on the menu in your kitchen garden. By understanding what these wild creatures eat, we can make thriving wildlife havens in our neighbourhoods alongside successfully growing tasty food for our families and friends.
