Bake with Lucie - October 2025
Hello everyone and welcome October!
I’m sorry to say that this is my last set of recipes for you all. I have absolutely loved creating new and exciting seasonal recipes for you and it has been an absolute joy for the past year to do so. Maybe one day I will create for you again, but until that time, I hope you enjoy these three.
My first recipe is perfect for any autumnal night and it is my absolutely cheesy fondue twice-baked potatoes. What is better than a cheese fondue, I hear you ask. Cheese fondue in a baked potato is the answer. This recipe is honestly so delicious and seasonal too as baking potatoes are just coming into season. What makes these different from a normal potato skins recipe is I make a cheese fondue sauce rather than just mixing in some grated cheese so they are even more indulgent and perfect for those autumnal nights.
My second recipe is my creamy roast chicken orzo soup. If you are like me and my family and you get bored with the same recipes to use up leftover roast chicken, then this recipe is definitely for you. It is perfectly seasonal and it also uses up not only leftover roast chicken, but carrots and swede too which are in season in October. All seasonal and it tastes incredible.
My third recipe for you is my spiced Halloween maple apple crumble. This recipe is oh-so-delicious. Seasonal because of the apples but it is a deliciously spiced, maplely twist on a traditional apple crumble. Perfect for autumn and Halloween night and even better served with plenty of homemade custard. Absolutely scrumptious.
Well, I hope you enjoy these autumnal recipes and have fun making them too. I know it is early to say but I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We certainly will and I hope you do too. Best wishes, Lucie. Happy baking everyone!
