Bake with Lucie - October
Hello October! I hope you are all well? Did you like September’s recipes? I hope you enjoyed making them too. Did you try the Tartiflette? If you did and you managed to get Minger cheese then all I can say is thank goodness it tastes amazing as it does pong a bit, doesn't it? My mum and I have just made our Christmas cake and Christmas pudding so they have time to mature and be fed with sherry before Christmas day.
I have got three delicious recipes for you this October and two are made with October's seasonal ingredients too. My first recipe is Halloween themed for those who celebrate; if not then they are still wonderful to make. They are my red velvet cupcakes with a dulce de leche surprise and vanilla frosting. These cupcakes are great fun to make with little ones and are spookily delicious too!
My second recipe is my cauliflower cheese soup. Honestly, I love anything with cheese so I knew this would be good. This soup is so easy to make, uses three seasonal ingredients and will be such a crowd pleaser. Perfect for those colder days that are coming. Delicious!
My third recipe is my cinnamon apple and blackberry pie. Apples are in season this month and blackberries which were in season in September so this recipe is just perfect for October and it is also truly delicious too. Yummy! I really hope you enjoy my recipes and I will see you all in November with more seasonal recipes that I can’t wait to share. Until November, have fun baking!
