Apple Day

Our favourite fruit

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but did you know apples have their very own awareness day? Apple Day is an annual celebration of the humble apple. This fine fruit plays a rich role in our culture and our landscape, feeding both people and wildlife. Apple Day is an opportunity to get together and show our appreciation for apples in all their diverse varieties, and of course enjoy the fruits themselves - whether that's raw, baked, stewed, pressed or in cider!

Apple Day takes place on 21 October, but there are events and celebrations across the UK throughout the month of October. Here are some apple day events hosted by Incredible Edible and the Wildlife Trusts.
